Surgical skin procedures can make patients a bit nervous, but it’s a part of caring for the skin that we like most! At Perlmutter Dermatology, we enjoy helping patients feel safe, at ease, and most importantly, pain-free during outpatient skin surgery. We routinely perform skin biopsies of suspicious growths and elusive rashes. We use various methods to destroy pre-cancerous growths called Actinic Keratoses, pre-cancerous growths that are on their way to becoming skin cancers called Squamous Cell Carcinomas. Dr. Perlmutter performs excisions of skin cancers, including melanomas, squamous cell carcinomas, and basal cell carcinomas, as well as removals of non-cancerous growths such as atypical moles, lipomas, keloids, and cysts. Electrocautery and cryosurgery may also be utilized to treat a variety of benign, malignant, and pre-cancerous conditions. At Perlmutter Dermatology, your skin is in good hands.
